MSP Edo State College of Health, Sciences and Technology, Benin City.

Secure the Future Initiative successfully hosted a transformative two-day campus campaign themed “Money, Sex, and Power” (MSP) at Edo State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Benin City. The event equipped 235 students with tools to lead with integrity, build healthier relationships, experience emotional healing, and practice financial literacy.

Baseline Knowledge Assessment The campaign commenced with a structured baseline assessment to evaluate participants’ pre-existing knowledge and perceptions around the core themes—money, sex, and power. The findings guided facilitators in tailoring sessions to effectively address knowledge gaps and misconceptions, resulting in more impactful discussions.

Program Highlights Participants engaged in interactive sessions on ethical leadership, purpose discovery, emotional healing from abuse, and value creation through problem solving.

Keynote speaker Derek Imunmhon emphasized healing as a catalyst for purpose-driven living. Other expert facilitators delivered thought-provoking insights and personal stories that resonated deeply with attendees.

Due to limited access to a large auditorium, students were grouped into four cohorts across two classrooms over two days, which, though logistically demanding, ensured inclusive participation.

Engagement & Impact Students actively participated, posed anonymous questions, and sought mentorship—highlighting the hunger for transformational growth. The College Management expressed strong commendation and interest in future collaborations.

Challenges & Recommendations Venue limitations and limited media feedback posed hurdles. The organizing team recommends integrating MSP into student orientation programs and introducing mentorship follow-ups.

Conclusion The MSP Campaign validated that young people, when exposed to the right values, can foster healing, financial responsibility, and integrity-based leadership. With increased support, MSP has the potential to scale across the Niger Delta and inspire widespread social transformation.
